Cecilia del Barrio Arleo is Doctoral Candidate at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento, Italy. She is an Argentine lawyer and holds a LL.M. in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance from the International University College of Turin, Italy. She has served as legal counsel to both the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religion and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, and has collaborated as an assistant professor at the Philosophy of Law Department of the University of Buenos Aires, and at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Trento. She is one of the coordinators of the FLE (Finance, Law and Economics) Working Group which was established under the Young Scholars Initiative of the Institute for New Economic Thinking in 2012, and she is a member of the European Banking Institute’s Young Researchers Group (EBI YRG).


Research Interests: Cecilia del Barrio is specialising on financial and banking regulation, central banking, and regulatory governance.
