Doris Neuberger is Professor of Economics – Money and Credit – at Rostock University, research fellow at DIW (German Institute for Economic Research) Berlin, research director at IFF (Institute for Financial Services) Hamburg and co-director of CERBE (Center for Relationship Banking and Economics) Rome. She is a member of Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende (Finance Watch Germany), Stopwucher (German Coalition against Usury), the Senate Competition Committee of the Leibniz Association and the Committee for Industrial Economics at the German Economic Association. She is co-editor of Economic Notes and Vierteljahrshefte zur Wirtschaftsforschung – Quarterly Journal of Economic Research.

Doris Neuberger has led several research projects supported e.g. by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation), the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Wissenschaftsförderung der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. She received her academic education at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuernberg


Research Interests: Doris Neuberger focuses on household finance and consumer protection, SME finance, Industrial Economics of banking, financial systems and the social role of banks.
