Research Interests: Doris Neuberger focuses on household finance and consumer protection, SME finance, Industrial Economics of banking, financial systems and the social role of banks.
Doris Neuberger is Professor of Economics – Money and Credit – at Rostock University, research fellow at DIW (German Institute for Economic Research) Berlin, research director at iff (Institute for Financial Services) Hamburg and co-director of CERBE (Center for Relationship Banking and Economics) Rome. She is member of Finance Watch, the Senate Competition Committee of the Leibniz Association and the Committee for Industrial Economics at the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik). She was member of the German Economic Association’s managing board and the Chamber for Social Order of the EKD (Protestant Church in Germany).
Doris Neuberger has led several research projects supported e.g. by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Wissenschaftsförderung der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, and she was invited as an expert for financial inclusion by the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo. Doris Neuberger received her academic education at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuernberg.
